A 7-year-old boy was fatally struck by a faculty bus in south suburban Park Forest on Friday afternoon.
Park Forest police and the Prepare dinner County coroner’s workplace stated Connor Kasmarski was shot at round 3:15 p.m. on the a centesimal block of Walnut Road.
He was taken to Franciscan Well being Olympia Fields Hospital, the place police stated he died.
Officers stated the bus concerned was taking college students from Park Forest-Chicago Heights Faculty District 163.
Regional Supervisor Caletha White posted an announcement on the district’s web site Friday evening.
Connor, a sophomore at Mohawk Elementary Heart, “shall be enormously missed by Mohawk and District 163 college students and educators,” stated White, “who’s sort, good, and humorous, at all times with a smile on his face.”
Police stated the college district and police have organized for counselors to be current for college kids and employees over the weekend and early subsequent week.
